Normal is boring so they say,
i stand out, but my uniqueness judged
If only they could see it through my eyes
Sometimes it takes a while for things to sink in
But eventually, I get there.
Special in my own way so they give me labels
I don’t see them giving labels to their personalities
They make me feel unstable,
like I cant stand on my own feet.
Yes i fight my demons more than most,
but my heart is in the right place.
Our struggles parallel, but on the same journey,
to live and make the best of it.
Why be put in a box when we can all just be people
Why say i’m special when you mean not normal
Give me the same chances and opportunities you get
Yes i’m not the normal you are used to.
Normal is boring.
